Last week the TSK team was delighted to hand over a giant cheque for Alder Hey Children’s Hospital.
Back in September, some of our team took part in Tough Mudder, raising £5,000 for the charity. Ahead of Christmas they headed to Liverpool to deliver their donation in person.
Alder Hey, a unique institution
Alder Hey is Europe’s leading children’s hospital, caring for over 270,000 young people and their families every year.
TSK’s donation goes towards the development and maintenance of world-class facilities, including hydrotherapy pools, ward-based dedicated chefs, cutting-edge x-ray systems and hybrid operating theatres.
Visiting the hospital to deliver our donation, Account Director Tim Crane said: “We were taken on a tour of Alder Hey which really opened my eyes up to the inspiring work the hospital does.
“The emphasis on nature in the design creates a light, inviting space and the amazing facilities allow patients to feel comfortable and less anxious during difficult or frightening times.
"Looking around the hospital was a poignant experience, and seeing first-hand the incredible cause that our donation supports was truly humbling.”
It’s an honour to make such a positive impact with our fundraising, helping to develop and maintain the facilities and services at Alder Hey. Supporting such a great charity is the perfect way to end a fantastic year for TSK. We can’t wait to set our sights on our next charity challenge in 2018.
