Revolutionising the business for future growth
Irwin Mitchell’s relocation to One St Peter’s Square was part of the company’s ambition to be widely recognised as the leading provider of personal and business legal services in the region.
The new workplace we’ve created, which is a significant investment in the 250 people based in Manchester, aims to revolutionise how the business operates and fuel further growth.
Irwin Mitchell wanted to improve the visitor experience and client perception of the firm; they have also provided a space to enable new ways of working and support the physical, social and mental wellbeing of its staff.
Bringing people together onto one floor, teams will work in ‘neighbourhoods’, but have the freedom to move between desks, enabling better collaboration between different functions.
The design incorporates a large break-out area, overlooking Manchester’s Central Library, creating a welcoming environment for staff to spend time in and interact. There are different settings for focussed individual work and a variety of formal and informal meeting rooms.
The result is a workplace that allows for growth in a changing world, in a location that is a cluster for the sector, and a space which is a truer reflection of the brand – for people, clients and visitors to One St Peter’s Square.
Ros Bever, Regional Office Managing Partner in Manchester, said:
“This is a positive and extremely exciting move for Irwin Mitchell in Manchester and will help revolutionise the way we work and collaborate with each other.
“The smaller footplates in our previous building didn’t always facilitate cross-working across all of our teams, but this new building will make a huge difference.
“The innovative design reflects the importance we place in our people and I’m confident that not only have we created an appealing environment in which to spend time and interact, but we have a very modern space which will benefit our clients and ensure we deliver the highest quality legal services to them.”
