We’re at that point in our journey when we’re ready to make a commitment around sustainability and how we do business sustainably. We’ve developed a strategy to set that bar and direction. It’s an opportunity to outline our focus areas and what sustainability means to us as an organisation. Focusing on these core areas holds us accountable and means we can actively measure our impact and success.
Jamie Richardson - Sustainability Director, TSK Group
Our sustainability strategy is built upon the core principles of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
While we are actively contributing to multiple SDGs in various ways, we have concentrated our efforts on four specific goals where we believe our influence can make the most significant difference. These four goals serve as the cornerstone of our Sustainability Action Plan.
As a company, we have diligently evaluated the prominent global megatrends and identified the primary risk and opportunity areas as follows:
TSK’s own GHG emissions:
We lead by example by reducing carbon emissions across our own business operations.
Employee engagement and awareness
Ensuring our people can confidently articulate our sustainability priorities and put into practice through upskilling, digitalisation and process improvement
Reducing our client’s impact on the environment through:
• Embedding circular economy principles on projects to reduce material consumption and waste
• Providing low-carbon/ low energy solutions to meet Net Zero targets
Stakeholder engagement and awareness
Influencing, collaborating and challenging our clients and contractors to improve sustainable practices and maximise opportunities to improve sustainability performance on projects.
• Our sustainability action plan and Net Zero Routemap ensure we stay on course to achieve our vision and commitments.
