From their offices in Leeds and London, the Medical Protection Society (MPS) helps over 300,000 medical, dental and healthcare professionals worldwide.
Maximising efficiency with minimum fuss
Before moving to their current address – The Shard – MPS were operating out of offices that, in their words, were outdated and inefficient.
Their previous building housed around 230 people across 40,000 sq ft, but, with a new space and our expertise, they were able to fit the same number of employees into an area half the size, all the while improving their communication, connection, and members’ experience.
Getting everyone invested in the bigger picture
Adapting to a new way of working isn’t always easy to come to terms with, so, to make sure we hit the nail on the head, we took the time to get under the skin of how MPS’ people operated and what they needed to work better.
Armed with this analysis and our deep understanding of the building’s technical requirements we proposed an activity-based design that was sure to meet all their main objectives – and more.
Paving the way with proven methodologies
We knew our vision would work, but we needed to make sure everyone else did too. So, using unique, immersive technology, we didn’t just tell them what the future could look like, we showed them.
This turned people’s pain-points into solutions, earnt business-wide buy-in, and removed risks by allowing amendments to be made before we started building.
Saving time - because it’s of the essence
With clients to serve and cases to win MPS couldn’t afford to lose time to teething periods. Enter our immersive technology, again. We enabled their people to see where everything was and how it would all work before they stepped foot in The Shard, which mitigated any risk of losing apprehensive employees in the interim too.
Improving everyday life for everyone
Our plans made the most of MPS’ new space. Our process facilitated positive change. And our results inspired employees and customers alike. Win. Win. Win.
