To get under the skin of what Swinton’s employees needed in order to excel, we ran workshops and consulted with colleagues from across the business. We used these insights to design a dynamic and collaborative headquarters that would get the best out of their people, for their customers.
Across eight floors of Embankment 10, we introduced an activity-based working model. The variety of work, meeting and social settings gives employees more choice and freedom in how and where they work.
New stand-out spaces include the iLab, which inspires innovation, vibrant social and recreational areas where people can gravitate together, a replica of Victoria Park (including a café, picnic place and games zone), and a wellbeing and faith area.
As always, we took an environmentally friendly design approach and, for this project, we even achieved an ‘excellent’ sustainability rating by BREEAM (Building Research Establishment Assessment Method).
Swinton’s new office is a true reflection of the business’ values. It inspires and enables people to do their best work, supporting the organisation’s success for many years to come.
