We partnered with Kellogg’s to design and build their new European headquarters – a vibrant space that embodies their iconic brand, supports collaboration and reflects their ambition as a business.

After designing and delivering Kellogg’s stunning offices in MediaCity, we were thrilled to win the opportunity to replicate what worked well, and raise the bar, in Dublin. The new HQ is situated at Dublin Airport, just outside Terminal 2 – an ideal location for visitors flying in.

Let’s make today great

Before moving to their new home, Kellogg’s employees were split across two buildings at Airside Retail Park. We wanted to give their staff a modern, open-plan office, moving away from fixed desks and organisational silos.

A detailed discovery survey with the leadership teams told us what was important to Kellogg’s workforce – they wanted an environment that would strengthen connections, fuel creativity, and shape an authentic company culture. It was crucial that this new space not only mirrored the brand, demonstrating how Kellogg’s has innovated and changed in the market, but also supported their exciting growth journey.

All-Bran new office

As we were working on a new build, we had to dovetail the fit-out with the completion of the building. The construction was delayed, so it was crucial that we worked collaboratively with the airport landlord to ensure the project was completed in the most efficient time frame possible.

Playing to the strengths of the glass building, we utilised its openness to bring a bright and spacious feel to each area. A light and airy reception reflecting the vibrant Kellogg’s brand welcomes employees and guests. The open layout offers purpose-led work and social settings for flexible work and taking time out to focus on wellbeing.

As the team will balance time at home with time in the office, all areas of the building are tech-enabled, to support hybrid working. The meeting rooms are fitted with the latest video-conferencing facilities so employees have the freedom to connect with anyone, anywhere.

Work settings include an amphitheatre, breakout areas, quiet zones, booths and flexible meeting spaces for informal 1-2-1s, small huddles or larger team gatherings.

Social spaces include a canteen, ‘Eat’, where people can meet and start conversations, a games area with a ping-pong table, and rooms that can be reconfigured for activities such as yoga.

Taking design cerealsly

Kellogg’s colours and products are displayed throughout the office, evoking a sense of company pride. W.K. Kellogg’s original promise, “We are a company of dedicated people making quality products for a healthier world”, features on a large wall in the reception area, to boost morale and encourage employees to feel a sense of belonging.

“When you look at the design of the office, you can see that TSK really understood where our culture is and where we want it to be … they understood what we were about and what we wanted.” Derek McDonald, European Facilities Manager at Kellogg’s

Offering employees more choice in their workplace helps them to work with purpose and be more productive, creative and engaged. Staff can now use lockers to store their belongings, which gives them the freedom to choose where they work in the office.

The space is filled with moveable furniture, interactive whiteboards on wheels and main sockets. The furniture has been carefully selected to accommodate various work activities – whether that be a high-backed acoustic chair for private phone calls or a booth for team huddles.

Wake up, up, up to the new way of working

Kellogg’s new Dublin central campus is a destination to be proud of. It epitomises who they are as a company and embraces their four Cs: connection, creativity, culture and collaboration.

The new office allows people to mingle, share ideas, work and have fun. It provides a platform to build a company culture they can be proud of and is designed to stand the test of time.

“Once we opened the office, with no pressure, people started to come back…which is fantastic to see because we got that buzz back around the office.” Derek McDonald, European Facilities Manager at Kellogg’s

“When we saw it come to life, it was interesting because you never really think it’s going to look like the picture – but it did!” Leona Wall, EA to President at Kellogg’s
