Because we know the unexpected can happen, but we don’t believe our clients should pay the price.
WeWork came to fruition in 2010 and they’ve been leaving their mark on the shared workspace arena city-by-city, country-by-country ever since.
Thriving in the face of adversity
As with all the previous WeWork projects we were asked to strip and fit-out their soon-to-be space in King’s Cross, as well as take complete ownership of the design and fit out of the project
Fine. Not a problem. That’s what we’re experts in.
Everything was going swell; until we were hit with huge delays. The building’s landlord was concerned over their projected occupancy levels, fire strategy, and location of the external plant, and, as a result, affected approval for the works to progress.
Delivering on time when the odds were against us
All in all, we lost a grand total of nine weeks due to the approval process. Unideal. But not even that stopped us from meeting their open date.
We split the project into two phases and delivered 22,000 sq ft in five and a half weeks to make sure their new site was ready for businesses, freelancers, and entrepreneurs to move into by May 2018.
We were working while they were earning.
Once their new King’s Cross space was up, running and fully in the swing of things, we got to work on phase two of the project in August 2018, while it was occupied – because we don’t believe our clients should have to choose between one or the other.
The result? We were still able to deliver their project to a T and they didn’t have to compromise their plans or profits.v
